I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD and depression and I know how that feels on a day to day basis. Working with horses gives me the strength and confidence to make it through the darkest days. I want to help soldiers take the lessons taught to them by horses and use those to rebuild their identities post service. Just simply being around horses gives inexplicable confidence. Something as simple as moving a horse backwards by small click or just a movement towards them can instill a new sense of self.  I also believe that a service member and an untrained, neglected, or abused horses share something that a lot of people don’t– legitimate fear. I would be honored to help our service members rebuild their lives.
