Our Mission

We value every service member and horse on Earth.

Neglecting either is unacceptable. We believe there is no greater therapist than a horse. Service members all fought for the freedoms we enjoy, whether in peacetime or wartime they all deserve camaraderie. Heroes and Angels Project was started to pair up rescue horses with veterans that miss the culture the military provided.

Read below for the services we offer to veterans that are recently separated, or those that are in the process of separating from the military.

Facilities

Coming Soon!

We are actively collecting donations to obtain a permanent home for HaAP.

Horses

Each horse used for therapy at HaAP is a rescue horse. Take a look at our "Resources" page for more information about where to get your very own rescue horse or to donate to a program.

Trained Professionals

We have experienced, licensed therapists that work with each veteran's challenges and goals. The equine trainers that work with the horses and veterans have backgrounds in a variety of disciplines, including both Western and English styles. All training is based in natural horsemanship, ensuring the best treatment available and to maximize bonding between horse and rider.

Qualified Programs

In the near future, we plan to partner with local colleges and universities to help veterans get a jumpstart on their certifications and degrees. In addition, HaAP is working to gain VA recognition.
